Stuart Draper is a writer, actor, director and comedian living in Staffordshire, UK.
The founding president of the Durham Revue, Stuart attended Durham University where he found his love for comedy. Moving to London following his degree, he gigged around London, performing stints in Meat & 2 Veg at the Canal Cafe Theatre (with Reece Shearsmith) and the Wibbly Wobbly Caberet with Charlie Cheese (Mackenzie Crook). A long run of the London Revue was well received. He performed sketches at TBA at the Gate Theatre, alongside Parsons and Naylor, then began writing plays and other pointlessly unpublishable items. He also appeared as ‘Kitty Clamp’ in drag. After too many pantomimes, he became a teacher, then headteacher, then addict of antidepressants.
He has recently been gigging around the Midlands, with a stint as MC at Spitfire Comedy and multifarious appearances at Laughing Lamb, Hollybush Arts Centre and upcoming gigs include Queerish Notts, Blessington Gong Show, Telford Comedy Club and Comedy Runaround, Stoke.
He leaves behind two children, a husband and a stain on the duvet.
